Maximo 7.5 comes up with a feature by which the Users are
allowed to import and export the data directly from applications, such as
Assets or Workorders.
It lets end users to create data (like Assets or Workorders) on their own without understanding of MIF framework to import and export data.
Note: The application export/import is done synchronously without the use of JMS queues (used in traditional integration scenarios). Excessive processing by a single user could impact other users (performance impact is more likely to come from the importing processing directly from Applications than the exporting process).
